Subject: Ban on sugary tea in Welsh hospitalsHello,I wondered if the Tea Appreciation Society may be interested in commenting on a story I am writing for tomorrow’s newspaper.Vending machines in Welsh hospitals are to be banned from offering sugar in tea due to “risk of health”.
If anyone from the society would be interested in commenting, it would be great to hear from you.

Daily Express>>>>Dear Michael
Thanks for your email.
I am merely the co-founder of the Tea Appreciation Society and cannot comment for the society as a whole, but my personal view is thus…
It’s another example of the ‘nanny state’. These puritan values only demean us. If one chooses to drink a cup of wishy washy tea – the taste of which is closer to that of cats piss from a vending machine – then surely the consumer has the right to mask the disgusting flavour with a lovely lump of sugar.

Do they not have Spelenda in the UK? At any rate, black tea is great anyhow.
